What these are
Cookies, plus local-storage entries, are tiny records a browser holds on behalf of a website. We keep them to a minimum and ask before using anything beyond what the site needs to function.
Categories
| Category | Purpose | Example | Lifetime | Default |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Necessary | Keeps the site working and remembers your choice | myc_consent_v1 (local storage) | 12 months | Always on |
| Analytics | Shows which guides get read | Analytics identifier | Up to 14 months | Off until you agree |
| Advertising / affiliate | Credits a booking to our referral link | Partner network click ID | Set by the network, often 30 days | Off until you agree; off with GPC |
Changing your choice
Press Manage cookies at the bottom of any page to reopen the preferences and switch analytics or advertising on or off. Clearing what this site has stored in the browser resets the decision, and the bar reappears. A Global Privacy Control signal keeps advertising cookies off automatically.
Third-party cookies
After you leave for a hotel website, that site sets its own cookies under its own policy.
